Draft — pending legal review
The Deck Grip Razor weekly tournament (the "Tournament", also called "Tuesday Fight Night") is sponsored by ABD Collectibles LLC ("ABD", "we", "us"), 65 West Easy Street #102, Simi Valley, CA 93065. Questions about the Tournament can be sent to info@abdcollectibles.com or mailed to that address.
The Tournament is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi, or the age of majority where they live, if older) when they enter, and who have an ABD account in good standing.
Employees, officers and contractors of ABD, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child or sibling) and household members of each, may not enter. One entry per person per Tournament. Entering with more than one account is not allowed.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Entering is free. Buying packs, cards or anything else on ABD has no effect on the draw, your matches or your prizes.
Sign in to your free ABD account, open abdcollectibles.com/tournament and tap "Enter the tournament". Creating an ABD account is free.
To enter, you must first tick the box confirming that you are 18 or older (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi), a US resident, and that you agree to these Official Rules. ABD records when you tick it and which version of these rules you accepted. You tick it once; if these rules change, you are asked to accept the new version before your next entry. Entries without that confirmation are not accepted.
Each week's entry period opens once ABD posts that week's Tournament, which happens after the previous Tuesday's Tournament starts. It closes at that week's start time, Tuesday at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. Entries are not accepted after the start. ABD's server clock is the official clock for the Tournament. You can withdraw your entry any time before the start.
The Tournament starts every Tuesday at 6:00 PM Pacific Time. It is a single-elimination bracket of rock paper scissors played with three fighters: Deck beats Razor, Razor beats Grip, and Grip beats Deck. ABD sends entrants a reminder about 30 minutes before the start.
At the start, every entrant is placed in the bracket by random draw. The bracket is the smallest power of two that fits every entrant (for example, 16 spots for 11 entrants). Spots left over become byes, placed at random; a player with a bye moves to the next round without playing. Every round is best of 3 (first to 2 game wins), and the final is best of 7 (first to 4). The loser of each match is out, and rounds continue until one champion remains.
If fewer than 2 people enter, that week's Tournament is cancelled and no prizes are awarded.
In each game, both players pick a fighter in secret and have 15 seconds to pick. The picks are revealed together and the game is decided by the rule above.
If a player is not on the game page when picking opens, or does not pick in time, the ABD computer picks a fighter for them at random. That pick counts the same as one the player made. Because picks are made in secret, and some are made by the computer at random, each game is decided largely by chance.
A match is won by the first player to reach the needed game wins. The champion is the winner of the final.
Prizes are Burn Points ("BP") added to the winner's ABD account:
Approximate value: 100 BP = $1 toward eligible ABD pack purchases, so the largest prize, 2,000 BP, is worth about $20 toward packs. How many prizes are awarded depends on how many people enter. The champion also receives a champion badge on their ABD profile, which has no monetary value.
Burn Points are not money and have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash, and can be used only where ABD accepts them, such as eligible pack purchases. They follow the "Burning, Burn Points, and rewards" section of the Terms of Service, including when they end. No cash alternative or substitution is offered. BP is usually added within minutes of a match. If ABD has paused Burn Point issuance, BP won is added once issuance resumes. Winners are responsible for any taxes on prizes.
For the name of a week's champion, email info@abdcollectibles.com within 30 days after that Tournament.
The odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entrants and on the result of each game.
A tied game, where both players pick the same fighter, is replayed with new picks until someone wins. There is no limit on replays.
ABD may disqualify anyone, and withhold or reverse their BP, who enters with more than one account, uses bots, scripts or other automation, interferes with the Tournament, or breaks these rules or the Terms of Service.
ABD is not responsible for lost or late entries, dropped connections, or device, browser, network or other technical failures. If your connection drops during a game, the computer picks for you as described above. If fraud, a technical failure or any other cause affects how the Tournament runs or its fairness, ABD may cancel, pause, change or restart it, and may award prizes based on results reached before the problem, as ABD decides in good faith. ABD's decisions on all Tournament matters are final.
ABD may change or end the weekly Tournament at any time. Changes apply to Tournaments that start after the updated rules are posted.
ABD uses your account details, display name and Tournament activity to run the Tournament, show your display name in the entrant list and bracket, send reminders and results, and award prizes, as described in the Privacy Policy.
This tournament is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta Platforms, Inc., Facebook or Instagram. By entering, you release Meta from any claims related to it. You are giving your information to ABD Collectibles LLC, not to Meta.
The Tournament is void outside the United States and wherever it is prohibited or restricted by law. It is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
By entering, you agree to these rules and to ABD's Terms of Service. Any dispute about the Tournament is resolved under the Terms of Service, including its Disputes and arbitration section, which requires individual arbitration and waives class actions and jury trials, and its governing law section.
To the extent the law allows, by entering you release ABD from claims arising from the Tournament or any prize. If these rules and the Terms of Service conflict about the Tournament, these rules control.
These rules sit alongside ABD's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
